European Voluntary Service (EVS)
European Voluntary Service (EVS) is part of the European Youth Commission Youth in Action program. EVS offers young people the chance to do voluntary work in over 100 different countries for 2 to 12 month. Volunteers must be aged 18-30 upon starting a project.

EVS projects are for both individuals and groups. Funding from the European Union covers the costs of the volunteers travel, visa, vaccinations, trainings, living space, food, pocket money, language course and health insurance.
Code-X International is an EVS hosting, sending and coordinating organization. Each year we send 30-50 volunteers abroad and host 10-20 volunteers both in our office and in partner organizations in the Netherlands.
Projects are regularly submitted by Code-X International to the funders, meaning that we often have projects that need volunteers, current projects can be found under news. It is also possible to submit new projects for funding, so if your are looking for a specific country or type of project and have more time to spend in preparation, please contact EVS-sending@code-x.nl
